June General Membership Meeting-Lessons for Leadership @ Lighthouse Knoxville
Jun 13 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
June Education Event, Leadership, Encouraging Excellence/Discouraging Difficult @ Lighthouse Knoxville
Jun 13 @ 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

About the Seminar: Team Leadership: Rewarding the Excellent & Discouraging the Difficult. Management of employees is nothing more than the leadership of a Team. Leadership inside a Team construct means proactively and efficiently dealing with difficult and challenging employees without allowing that to drain so much of our energy that we don’t have anything “left” to reward our excellent employees. This discussion will also address how to best promote growth in individual employees (and encourage their personal “excellence” while discouraging their personal “difficult”); AND how to discern the difference between promoting growth in an individual employee versus simply throwing good after bad.

About the speaker:  Kevin Frazier is the President and Owner of Frazier’s Carpet One, a fourth-generation floor-covering business started by his grandfather and great-grandfather in Lonsdale, in 1953. His skill set is centered around a focused, performance-driven take on business management. Consensus building, creative problem-solving and resolute negotiation are his specialties.

Strong public speaking skills, boundless energy for what’s next and a proactively positive management style allow him to serve his employees and his customers with a clear, defined vision. These skills also serve him as a lecturer and adjunct instructor at the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business, in both the full-time MBA and Undergraduate Management Programs. Raised in a family business, educated in finance, an attorney by training, he also served more than a decade as an Area Director with Young Life. Entrepreneurship, business, law and social service development are all a part of what he brings to his work, his teaching and his mentoring of younger professionals.

He holds a Degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee, a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law (with an emphasis in Contracts and Tax) and still maintains his certification as an ordained minister.
